Basics
name: Nayan
age: 22
origin: Al de Baran
job: Dancer; DEX/AGI
weapon type: whip
looks: He is of a fairly average height (around 5' 5" or so) and rather feminine in appearance, having inherited most of his looks from his mother's side of the family. Nayan isn't overly muscular, but, rather, has a dancer's build: firm, lean, and ultimately rather attractive. He keeps his blue/teal hair long, tied off in either a ponytail or a braid, depending upon his mood, and held in place by a piece of black ribbon, dark eyes peeking out from beneath his bangs. He wears a pair of small red earrings, as well, one in each ear. Like most of the other dancers, Nayan tends to wear fairly bright colors to attract attention; though he tends to stick to greens and pinks. Unlike most of the other dancers, however, he is almost never without a set of fans, mostly for appearances sake.
history: Nayan is the eldest of two; he has a younger sister that he was separated from when he turned ten. He loved his parents very much indeed, adoring his father (a bard) very much indeed. However, his parents realized very quickly that letting their children stay with them wouldn't be very productive at all. Thus, as his sister was still too young to be separated from them, Nayan's parents sent him off to live with an aunt on the outskirts of Comodo, giving him a piece of a black ribbon (his sister's favorite) as a token to remember her by. He was very sad, of course, but there was very little to be done. His aunt spent the night of his arrival comforting him.
His uncle having died two years prior to his arrival, Nayan soon decided he was going to be his aunt's support and, after realizing that the boy was not to be argued with, his aunt let the boy choose what he wanted to do. After much mental debate, Nayan decided to train to be a dancer (for, while he loved his father's profession dearly, he couldn't exactly carry a tune to save his soul). After successfully passing the audition, he joined the Performer Theatre and trained under a man at first and then moved on to a female instructor some time later, who proved to be more demanding than his previous instructor. Three years ago, Nayan was deemed ready by both instructors to go venture out into the world on his own. He chose to stay in Comodo and earn a living that way, sending some of the money he's able to make off to his aunt. In his off-time, he's been attempting to get back into contact with his family as they've since left Al de Baran and they gave no current address to his aunt.
personality: Nayan is of the mindset that "the devil may care what I do, because I sure don't." He tends to be extremely upbeat and spirited, but not overly hyper and sugary. While Nayan can be irrepressibly kind, he always carries about him an air of sensuality that seems to make it easier for him to engage in "fun" practices, such as dancing, drinking... what have you.
He never stays in one place for too long...and not just physically. His mind has a tendency to flit from subject to subject, especially when he's bored. While performing, he's completely focused. When not performing, however, he tends to get bored easily and, as such, is on the constant search for entertainment. Getting a serious answer from him might take some work, but he does things all in good fun.
He is rather attractive and he knows it, tending to use this to his advantage. Many of the people of Comodo are aware of this and most find this particular trait of his amusing. Nayan can also seem a bit self-centered, confident in his own abilities and actions. He gets along with most of the other entertainers fairly well, although he is rarely willing to take responsibility for anything stupid they tend to do in groups.
However, once they get past these outer layers of Nayan's personality, people realize that he actually can be serious if the occasion calls for it. He's very dedicated to family members and people he's deemed worthy enough to earn his trust and he'll let them know that in his own little way (providing money in the case of his aunt, offering protection to people who need it if he can)
Specifics.
likes: music, fabric that flows when he moves, baby animals, dancing, alcohol, having fun, sweets, fans
dislikes: pushy people, people who are completely focused on maintaining their honor, badly tended-to roads, depression, daggers
sexual orientation: Bisexual
marital status: Dating, regardless of what the boyfriend calls it~
family: Younger sister [living; name unknown (he never referred to her by her name and has since forgotten what it was)]; parents [living]; Aunt Aelan [living]
occupation: Dancer
home: Comodo
other: While quite fond of alcohol, he doesn't drink to excess; he has only gotten incredibly drunk once or twice... that he can remember, anyway.
